Another week, another beautiful logo design!
I had such a great time creating this logo for Handmade by Hilda, ran by a lovely lady named Lindsey, who creates gorgeous knitted pieces such as throws, cushions and baby clothes. Lindsey approached me after being unhappy with the logos provided for her through an online site. She knew that she wanted to incorporate a ball of wool and some needles, but the online generated designs left a lot to be desired!
So thats where I come in! I began my usual process of getting to know the business, and then got to work creating my sheet of 6 initial logo designs. As soon as I started the design process, I knew that I wanted to do a design where the word 'handmade' was written in wool. This became my starting point and the rest of the ideas flowed from there!
The client instantly loved the top left and bottom left designs, so I then got to work producing these in different colour options.
The client was drawn to the pink and purple versions of both designs as these are her favourite colours. She also loves the colour grey, so we decided to try both options out in a grey and pink colour scheme.
These colour schemes really stood out to Lindsey, and in the end we decided to go with the first idea. With a few tweaks to colour and font to ensure that the logo was readable, the final logo was done!
I absolutely love how this logo turned out! I would like to thank Lindsey for the opportunity, and for being such a pleasure to work with. I wish you all the luck with your new venture!
